Being born and raised in Southend-on-Sea (Essex, UK), I guess you can say Southends are in my blood. But it wasn't until noticing there was a local hamlet called Southend near to my house back in the summer of 2004 that Southends changed in my mind from a place of birth to a mini obsession!
The freedom provided by my friend passing his driving test gave rise to a few local roadtrip adventures to this nearby Southend, and later to slightly further away Southends, and slightly further again... evolving into the visiting of gone 30 Southend settlements (big and very small!) and a number of Southend/South End roads too!
